"We have parted ways with professional football player Emirhan Delibas by mutual agreement. We wish him success in his future career," a statement on the Super Lig team's official website read.
According to the Mirror, Delibas could be seen wearing a Besiktas shirt while holding a drink in the profile picture .
The account is also in his name, but it claims he is 24 years old, while his real age is understood to be 21.
The description of the profile also revealed that he was looking for "something casual", and with it having gone viral over the past few days, this has reportedly left Besiktas feeling he brought them into disrepute.
Delibas has denied having such an account, however, insisting it is "fake".
In a statement on Instagram, Delibas wrote: "I reject the slanders made by fake accounts and would like to state that my loyalty to my team cannot be questioned.
"Besiktas is a responsibility for me. Your love has been my greatest motivation."
