Rashford's Man Utd exit confirmed!

Manchester United have confirmed the departure of star attacker Marcus Rashford after much speculation about his future.

The Red Devils announced that the Englishman has completed a loan move to Premier League rivals Aston Villa until the end of the 2024/25 season.

This comes after being side-lined by Ruben Amorim who had previously criticised the 27-year-old's application during training. The player then revealed that he was ready for a new challenge.

His last appearance for the 20-time Premier League champions came in a 2-1 UEFA Europa League win against Viktoria Plzen in December, with his last goals coming earlier that month – a brace in a 4-0 EPL win over Everton.

The United academy graduate has made 426 appearances for the side since making his senior debut in 2016. He has since scored 138 goals and lifted five major trophies.

This season, Rashford has made 24 appearances and scored seven goals.

Taking to social media, the forward revealed that he had been approached by other clubs as well.

"I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.," he wrote on Instagram.

"I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision - I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the managers' ambitions.

"I just want to play football and am excited to get started. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season."
