Rulani 'makes two transfers requests' to Wydad president

Wydad Casablanca coach Rulani Mokwena has reportedly made two transfer requests to club president Hicham Ait Mena.

The Moroccan outfit have already made one signing in January following the arrival of full-back Fahad Moufi on a free transfer.

According to LeSiteInfo, Mokwena has asked the club president to bring in a striker and a playmaker for the second-half of the campaign.

Wydad are currently nine points adrift of Botola Pro league leaders RS Berkane while they also have the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup coming in June, where they will face the likes of Manchester City and Juventus.

The report adds that Mokwena considers the two signings would be the important as he feels the attacking department is the biggest weakness in the Wydad squad at the moment.

Wydad parted ways with striker Mbaye Niang last month, while they also had South African striker Lebogang Mothiba on trial before deciding against a move.

The Red Castle already missed out on the signing of Nordin Amrabat, who opted to join Championship side Hull City this week.
