Following Ghana's failure to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, the nation's football association has admitted that head coach Otto Addo is owed four months' worth of wages.
Ghana made headlines for all the wrong reasons in November 2024, as their failure to qualify for AFCON 2025 was confirmed.
The news caused widespread criticism of the coach and the players, as it marked the first time the Black Stars failed to qualify for the showpiece since 2004.

It now appears that Ghana's problems go far beyond the pitch, as it has been revealed that Addo is owed a significant portion of his earnings.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) communications director, Henry Asante Twum, has confirmed that they have not paid Addo for four months.
"Yes, it is true we owe him [Otto Addo]," Twum confessed, according to ModernGhana.
"The last time I checked, there were some salaries in arrears, thus four months if we add December 2023.
"The number of meetings we have had with the ministry and the reminders we have served them, you have no idea. He knows sometimes it is difficult, but we are still working on it."
Elsewhere, there are reports that the GFA is now considering appointing Nigerian tactician Augustine Eguavoen as Addo's replacement. However, it is noted that sacking the latter would bring further financial complications for the Ghanaian football body.
Ghanaian sports journalist Emmanuel Ayamga told Soccernet.ng: "They desperately want to keep Otto Addo, because he's always been their man. But the new government also wants him out.
"From what I've gathered, Otto Addo's compensation, should he be sacked, is quite high, so they'll need to make a budget for that.
"As you know, the new government was sworn in just two days ago, so they're now settling in. We'll have a clearer picture once a Sports Minister is named."
