Wydad star 'apologises' to Mokwena

It is now reported that a Wydad Athletic Club star has issued an apology to coach Rulani Mokwena following his widely publicised fallout with the manager.

Mokwena's time in Morocco has by no means been easy, as the South African has faced several challenges both on and off the pitch.

This past weekend, however, the former Mamelodi Sundowns boss claimed an important 2-1 win over Union Touarga Sportif, which now sees his side sit fifth in the league table after 18 matches.

Nassim Chadli, a player Mokwena has endured some difficulties with, did not feature in the match, as he was completely omitted from the matchday squad.

Chadli is understood to have been at odds with Mokwena for quite some time, with this said to have been due to his exclusion from the starting line-up on some occasions.

The Moroccan star reportedly lost his cool over his omission from certain games, which led to a dressing room outburst where he told his manager not to include him in the team at all if he was going to start on the bench.

Chadli subsequently missed several training sessions due to his feud with the coach but made a return to the squad late last week.

Moreover, it was reported that the management intervened in the matter and decided that the player would not leave the club during the current window despite his strained relationship with Mokwena.

According to Moroccan newspaper Assabah, Chadli has now apologised to Mokwena.

The report claims that the attacker promised to abide by the manager's instructions and the technical staff, while he also vowed to fix his behaviour going forward.

Chadli has already made 13 appearances under Mokwena, registering two goals and two assists, as per Transfermarkt.
