Ramovic responds after 'disrespectful' claims

Young Africans SC coach Sead Ramovic has hit back at claims suggesting he disrespected the Tanzanian Premier League, clearing the air on his remarks after a recent victory.

The German tactician found himself in the spotlight following his side's emphatic 5-0 victory over COPCO FC in the Federation Cup on Saturday, where he clarified his respect for the league and its competitive nature.

Ramovic, who has been at the helm of Yanga since November last year, explained that comments he made following a CAF Champions League encounter were taken out of context by certain members of the media.

"After the Champions League match, I made comments about intensity, but some Simba journalists misunderstood me and framed it negatively," he stated.

"Let me make it clear – I have the utmost respect for this league, its players, and its coaches."

Ramovic went on to praise the Tanzanian Premier League as a challenging and fiercely competitive competition, describing it as one where success is hard-earned.

"It's a very difficult league to play in and even harder to win," he said. "As the biggest club in Tanzania, we aim to win every competition, but that requires effort and preparation."

Meanwhile, The battle for domestic glory is heating up, with Yanga currently sitting second on the table, just one point behind rivals Simba SC, coached by Fadlu Davids.

The two Tanzanian heavyweights remain locked in a tight title race that promises to go down to the wire.

For Ramovic, the key to success lies in taking things step by step. "This process we are following is the right way – focusing on each game without being fixated on the outcomes."
