Angola 0-1 Mali
Mali progressed to the last 16 of the Total Africa Cup Of Nations after narrowly beating Angola 1-0 in their final Group E encounter on Tuesday night.
Amadou Haidara netted the only goal for Les Aigles three minutes before the break and that proved to be the winner.
Mali qualified to the last 16 as group winners while Angola missed out on the best four third-placed teams, as they finished with two points and will have to pack their bags out of the tournament.
Angola losing to Mali opened the door for Bafana Bafana to be among the four teams who qualified as the best third-placed teams.
Mauritania 0-0 Tunisia
Tunisia advanced to the next round despite playing to a goalless stalemate with debutants Mauritania.
As a result, the Carthage Eagles finished second in Group E, while Mauritania will leave the tournament after finishing bottom of the group with two points.
