Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter has given insight into his team selection at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Baxter has come under-fire for his selection at times, particularly for leaving out PSL Footballer of the Season Thembinkosi Lorch despite the team's lacklustre displays in attack. Baxter has also changed goalkeepers in every match so far, using Ronwen Williams in the first and third match against Ivory Coast and Morocco, while Darren Keet started in the victory over Namibia.
"Team selection is always an issue, for media, supporters because that's what opinion is. People have different opinions. If I asked all the PSL coaches who are very well informed, they would probably have different opinions as well. So if you take media and supporters as weel, then you are going to get a myriad of different opinions, which is our game because that awakes discussion and debate," Baxter said.

"I'm probably the one that's equiped with the most information about the players, meantlly, physically and if it suits the game plan etc. But it is an issue for the technical staff.
Bafana are due to play against Egypt in the last 16 at Cairo International Stadium and Baxter is not likely to make too many changes.
"I think we are going to do exactly as we have done. We are going to look at the opponents and see which players fits in and try build a game plan around that. There's no great time to start moving in between systems, but we can during the game if we have to."
