"Most of Bafana Bafana support staff left South Africa on Monday evening but the rest of the team flew to Dubai this morning, (Tuesday, 11 June 2019)," read a statement from SAFA on Tuesday.
"The whole team was supposed to fly out on Monday at 19h10. However, upon arrival at the airport the Airways insisted on flying the team in two separate batches – one at 19h10 and the other at 10h00.
"Coach Stuart Baxter then suggested flying out on Tuesday so that the team could fly in the same flight.
"The team will go straight to training in the humid Dubai heat which is hovering around 40 degrees Celcius."
