Bafana Bafana set for squad overhaul in 2020

Bafana completed their 2019 calendar year with a victory over Sudan in their second 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Sunday and will now be out of action until next year.

With the AFCON qualifiers on a recess until August 2020, Ntseki will next name a squad to partake in the 2022 FIFA World Cup group stage qualifiers, which kick-off in four months' time.

But the former junior national team mentor has since hinted at making several major changes to his squad, phasing out some of the older faces for fresh, younger options to come in and take the national team forward.

"We had a technical meeting to discuss and profile the [current] team. Part of the things we spoke about is that we need to have players who can come in and help the current group," said Ntseki.

"If you look at Kamo [Mokotjo] and Dean [Furman], these are the two obvious choices in the team. Let's go and profile, maybe, two players who can come in.

"We know in Under-23 we've got [Tebogo] Mokoena, [Sipho] Mbule and Athenkosi [Dlala], who is playing in the first division, but it is important for us now to look for such positions.

"And in the attacking force, we've got Bradley Grobler, who is scoring for SuperSport, [but] we also need to get somebody to also help him."
