Hlompho Kekana top drop to the bench in Bafana Bafana's final AFCON group match

Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter is set to make changes in the midfield for the team's final Africa Cup of Nations group match tonight, with a Mamelodi Sundowns player set to drop to the bench.

Bafana take on Morocco in a Group D match at Al Salam Stadium this evening, looking to progress to the knockout stages of the competition, and Hlompho Kekana looks set to drop to the bench for the returning Dean Furman.

Furman missed Bafana's 1-0 victory over Namibia on Friday night, but the SuperSport United skipper is said to be making a return for the all important clash tonight.

Bongani Zungu, who scored the winner against the Namibians, is set to keep his place in the line-up. Baxter could also look at bringing in Thulani Serero into the midfield, to help with creativity.

Cape Town City captain Thamsanqa Mkhize is set to start after he was taken off on Friday with a concussion.

"The team feels a bit settled. The players are believing; Dean trained on Saturday and is looking fine while Thami Mkhize's concussion is ok," said Baxter.

"The players are quite confident and the preparations have been going quite well. We were a bit late with our preparations because of some cancelled games so these games in the tournament are actually bringing us closer together to where we want to be. We are quite confident," he added.
