Phakamani Mahlambi replacement confirmed by Mamelodi Sundowns for U23 Africa Cup of Nations

With a host of Absa Premiership players being withheld from travelling with the squad to Egypt this week, Mahlambi's ankle injury provided a massive blow for Notoane's preparations.

With the tournament opener against Zambia set for Saturday, only 12 players will reportedly be available for selection for the national team.

However, Sundowns have now confirmed promising forward Keletso Makgalwa will replace the former Al Ahly man in the squad - after recovering from the achilles injury that has kept him out of action in the league.

Notoane's squad are set to play a friendly against Zamalek today as preparation for their opening clash this weekend.
