South African referee Victor Gomes will take charge of the Africa Cup of Nations final between Algeria and Senegal.
Gomes is one of two South African officials at the AFCON in Egypt – the other being assistant referee Zakhele Siwela – and has taken charge of quite a few matches in the competition.
The last match Gomes was in charge of was the last 16 match between Tunisia and Ghana, which the North Africans won.
During the group stages, Gomes took charge of the Group A match between Zimbabwe and Uganda
He's also worked as a fourth official, including in the semi-final match between Nigeria and Algeria.
