Brandon Truter's side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
The Durban-based outfit remains fifth in the standings with 11 points after seven matches so far this season.
"The coach can do whatever tactics he wants to do but at the end of the day it is all about us," captain Makhehleni Makhaula said.
"It's all about expressing ourselves, it's all about confidence.
"I think these matches against the likes of Sundowns are the ones that give you more confidence.
"I am not saying the small teams are not giving us confidence but big games test how far are you in terms of challenging for the league.
"This game is a difficult test for us because we are playing away from home and we have been struggling to get points.
"We're coming from a loss against Chippa and Sundowns' confidence is high. So it will be a really difficult match.
"We need to prepare well, whatever the coach says we must implement it during the game."
Kick-off is at 15:00.
