AmaZulu CEO Sandile Zungu has addressed reports linking defender Riaan Hanamub with an exit, with Kaizer Chiefs reported to be eyeing the Namibian left-back as their next target.
With left-footed defender Edmilson Dove out with a lengthy injury and new signing Bongani Sam also sidelined with a fresh injury, Amakhosi's search for a left-back has been public knowledge.

Chiefs have seen two offers for Stellenbosch's left back Fawaaz Basadien turned down by the Winelands-based outfit and reports have surfaced indicating that should the Soweto against fail to land Basadien, they would turn their attention to AmaZulu's Hanamub.
Speaking on Gagasi FM's ExtraTime, Zungu revealed that he is yet to receive a formal offer for the left-back's signature.
"Soccer is a strange industry, where there are so many rumours," Zungu said.
"Sometimes I read about my team and I say, 'Are they talking about my team? Why are they so off the mark?'
"Hanamub has never been made an offer by any of the teams [he is linked with] and I have never approached by any of the teams and I've not been approached formally by any team regarding Hanamub.
"To state the fact as well, he is a most valuable member of the team and he is very happy at AmaZulu football club.
"So my supporters must stop worrying about gossip because it's actually baseless gossip. It's spinning, it's baseless gossip."

Of course, the chairman's words don't necessarily mean teams like Pirates and Amakhosi have not earmarked the Mozambican defender and with just 20 days to go, it remains to be seen if either of the Soweto giants put in a solid offer for Hanamub.
AmaZulu will kick off their season with a clash against with an away trip to Limpopo where they will take on Polokwane City at Orlando Peter Mokaba Stadium on 14 September.
