Defender Sandile Khumalo departed Usuthu over the weekend as the club finalised yet another departure following the initial release of 11 players at the conclusion of the 2022/23 campaign.

The Durban-based outfit have already parted ways with Lehlohonolo Majoro, Keagan Buchanan and Larry Bwalya with the futures of Siphesihle Maduna and Gabadinho Mhango remain uncertain.
Bwalya has since joined Sekhukhune United in a swap deal that saw striker Victor Letsoalo moving in the opposite direction.
Spanish tactician Martin is expected to continue to assess his current squad for the upcoming season after arriving in South Africa on Friday.
"Khumalo is not returning to AmaZulu next season, and his representatives are already working on something [transfer move]," a source within the club tells KickOff.
"Several foreign players are expected to arrive this week for assessments under the new coach."
AmaZulu have also been linked with the signing of midfielder Ben Motshwari from Orlando Pirates.
