AmaZulu set to retain the services of defender

AmaZulu FC are set to retain the services of defender Sandile Khumalo next season.

Khumalo's initial contract with AmaZulu is set to expire in June next year. However, Usuthu have since moved swiftly to offer the 24-year-old defender a much more improved contract and he is expected to sign on the dotted line soon.

Khumalo's manager, Mandla Mthembu from New Generation Sports Management has confirmed talks with AmaZulu with the intention to keep his client beyond his current contract.

"Yes were are talking to the club and we are very close. I anticipate that the next correspondence from the club should give direction and lead us towards him re-signing," said  Mthembu.

AmaZulu are also expected to extend the contract of goalkeeper Veli Mothwa after agreeing to a new deal. Mothwa's initial contract with Usuthu is also expected to expire in June next year.
