AmaZulu handed boost as THREE key players return to action

AmaZulu have been handed a boost ahead of the second half of the season with striker Bongi Ntuli, Sphesihle Maduna George Maluleka returning to training, as confirmed by head coach Romain Folz.

Usuthu has begun its preparations for the second half of the DStv Premiership campaign and Folz has confirmed that Bongi Ntuli, Sphesihle Maduna and George Maluleka, who were injured, are well on their way to making full recoveries by the end of December when league action resumes.

"We only have two injuries to monitor, [Bongi] Ntuli is one of them. He's slowly coming back, he's starting to touch the ball a little bit. We have to be cautiously smart on how we handle these players coming back from injury," Folz told the club's media.

"George [Maluleka] for example, he has been able to join two training sessions since coming back form injury. Maduna was able to participate in the preparation game that we had. So everyone is coming nicely."

Having gone into the FIFA mid-season break on a bad note a with narrow 1-0 defeat to Orlando Pirates in the final of the MTN8, AmaZulu will be desperate to get back to competitive action.

Usuthu will get a chance to return to winning ways with an away encounter against former coach, Brandon Truter's Sekhukhune United on New Years' Eve.

The Durban outfit currently sits on position seven on the DStv Premiership table, just six points above bottom-of-the-table Maritzburg United who have collected 11 points so far.
