The AmaZulu hierarchy led by owner Sandile Zungu facilitated the departure of interim coach Ayanda Dlamini while former head coach, then technical consultant Romain Folz also departed.
AmaZulu finished the recently concluded season in a lacklustre 12th position and in doing so falling short of the club's ambition to compete for silverware.
Former Simba FC coach Pablo Franco has also been shortlisted for the vacant coaching position at the KwaZulu-Natal-based outfit alongside Eymael.
Zungu confirmed that the club will announce their new head coach next week, Monday.
The Belgian tactician is reported to have had two meetings with the club hierarchy in a detailed interview process.
"There is a coach from Spain (Pablo Franco) alongside another candidate from Holland who has worked in Turkey that has been shortlisted.
"The club is expected to complete the interview process this weekend before they announce their new head coach next week," a source tells KickOff.
The Durban outfit have appointed a number of coaches such as Brandon Truter and Folz in its quest for consistency and will now be aiming to make the right appointment with its next hire.
