AmaZulu make dramatic call on future of veteran duo

DStv Premiership side AmaZulu have made a dramatic decision on the future of veteran first-team duo Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Lehlohonolo Majoro in preparation for next season.

Defender Mphahlele and long-serving striker Majoro are set to be released by the club at the end of the season after being deemed surplus to requirements by head coach Romain Folz.

The veteran have already stopped training with Usuthu and will be allowed to leave the club even before their contract expires at the end of this current season.

Both failed to feature in Romain Folz's latest squad for the DStv Premiership clash against Stellenbosch FC in Cape Town.

AmaZulu boss, Sandile Zungu has confirmed the imminent departures of both Mphahlele and Majoro from the club.

"The coach has indicated that they are not part of his plans for next season," Zungu reveals to KickOff.

"For the next seven games we will focus on the players that will be used for next season."

Usuthu are currently 10th in the league standings with 28 points after 33 matches played so far this season in an underwhelming campaign.

Folz's side next host strugglers Swallows FC in their next league match at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on April 1.
