AmaZulu streamline squad with departure of midfielder Sbusiso Magaqa

DStv Premiership side AmaZulu have reportedly parted ways with midfielder Sbusiso Magaqa in preparation for the second half of the season with the January transfer window fast approaching.

The 24-year-old is expected to return to neighbours Royal AM after being granted his clearance from Usuthu on Thursday.

Magaqa is expected to be joined by defender Sboniso Mgwazela who similarly began training with the ambitious Royal AM earlier this week.

Usuthu spokesperson Brilliant Mkhathini has confirmed the departure of Magaqa from the team.

"Yes, Magaqa is no longer with us. I believe he has been given his clearance," Mkhathini tells KickOff.

"Mgwazela is training with Royal AM. We will wait until we hear if they like him there," the AmaZulu spokesperson added.

Usuthu are still yet to decide on Thabo Qalinge and Hendrick Ekstein after recalling the duo to first-team training after being deemed surplus to requirements.
