Maluleka was delighted with how the stuck together and kept a clean sheet against the Soweto giants.

"I'd like to thank the supporters, AmaZulu faithful, the coaching staff, the players, my colleagues, I think we fully deserved the win," Maluleka told SuperSport after collecting his Man of the Match award.

"I think from the first leg as well, again today a game of two halves but fully deserved.

"It was very important that we stick to the game plan and we did, we kept a clean sheet, something that we're struggling to do but we were able to do that today and we're through to the final."

Maluleka went on to expand on what was the game plan.

"The game was to try to keep the ball more, try get more passes for the guys to be more involved, gain more confidence and you saw in the first-half we played more balls on the ground," he added.

"Less high balls and we managed to open them up on a couple of occasions, the finishing let us down in the first-half as well but second-half we stuck it through and made sure we keep zero at the back."
