'I know Nabi well, I played against him...'

AmaZulu head coach Pablo Franco Martin has issued his assessment of Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi ahead of the two teams' meeting on Saturday.

Usuthu will be searching for their first three points of the season when they welcome Amakhosi at the Moses Mabhida Stadium, after losing to Polokwane City on match day one.

At the opposite corner, Chiefs will be aiming to continue their momentum after coming from behind to beat Marumo Gallants.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Martin had plenty of praise for Amakhosi's victory against Gallants and Nabi.

"I really like them (Chiefs)," Martin said.

"I think they have improved from last season. I think the current coach, I know him well because I already played against him in Africa and he has been successful wherever he goes.

"Also I think they signed very good players where they had weaknesses and in positions where[even though] they did not have so many weaknesses they were capable of creating competition [by bringing new signings] and that makes a team grow.

"I like the style of play, I like their mentality when they went behind early in the game and they haven't had the best results in the last two months.

"So that resilience, that mentality to be able to come back, especially with that feeling that good team or top teams have that sooner or later they are going to score.

"There are also a lot of compliments for the opponent, we know it's going to be tough but we also know what we are capable of the quality of our players, and the mentality we have when we face these kinds of opponents."

The match will be played at the Moses Mabhida Stadium. Kick-off is at 19:30.
