Dstv Premiership club AmaZulu FC are still trying to find ways to get rid of two of their players who are refusing to accept a settlement.
According to sources inside the club, Thabo Qalinge and Hendrick Ekstein still have contracts with the club and do not want to accept the settlement Usuthu management is proposing and choose to continue training with the reserve team instead.
Asked for a comment AmaZulu chairman Sandile Zungu refused to say much.
"I don't have a response, I just don't like to comment about those players, you say something about them then it comes out differently," Zungu tells KickOff.
Though he also refused to say much, Stanton Fredericks who is Thabo Qalinge's representative says there is nothing he would say about the matter as he hopes the club management will soon release a statement.
"No comment my brother, let's not divulge too much.
"I'm sure the club will put up a statement regarding the issue," Fredericks says.
Qalinge joined Usuthu in March 31, 2021 after spending a year without a club following his release by Supersport United in 2020.
Both Qalinge and Ekstein who joined on August 16, 2021 were released at the end of last season, however, they returned to the club during pre-season as they could not accept the divorce.
According to insiders at AmaZulu both players currently train with the club's reserve team as they continue to await their fate.
AmaZulu's first League match after the FIFA break will be against Sekhukhune United away in Polokwane on Saturday 31 December 2023.
