Bafana Bafana secured top spot in their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying group with a 3-0 win over South Sudan on Tuesday night.
Fawaaz Basadien, Siyabonga Ngezana, Thapelo Morena, Patrick Maswanganyi and Iqraam Rayners all stepped in the fold on the back of the win over Uganda on Friday.
Bafana hit the ground running over five minutes played when Oswin Appollis tossed and turn in the wide channels before drawing a cutback to the area for Rayners to riffle in.
Maswanganyi made it two well in the 20th minute after a deft first-touch from a spill by the opposite number and finished smartly from point-blank range.
There was just one team on show at this particular juncture, with the visitors seeing no penetration and actually didn't get across the half-way line.
Rayners got a chance to complete a first-half brace through a first-time pass in the space from Appollis, but he was expertly denied by the defensive guard led by shot-stopper Majak Mawith.
Bafana continued to dominate well at the start of the second half, with the bright Eagles still battling to come to grips nor launch any move of note.
The third goal came in no less than a few minutes when Khuliso Mudau ran in the area to meet Thapelo Morena's lay-off only to see him go down to win a penalty, which Teboho Mokoena dispatched.
Although, the one-sided affair enjoyed by the host were to such an extent that a trio of changes involved goalkeeper Sage Stephens, Nkosinathi Sibisi and Relebohile Mofokeng.
Bafana missed out on a fourth over the final minutes before time when substitute Devon Titus ran in on the near side to slam a diagonal delivery around the side-netting.
Rayners once again mis-timed an opening where he spotted a reverse pass from Titus towards the far post only to see the guilt-edge opportunity pass him up.
These late misses caused no harm to the hosts, who still emerged with the win to claim top spot in Group K and ended the qualifying journey on a high.
