With Bafana Bafana preparing to take on Nigeria and Zimbabwe in crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Friday and next Tuesday respectively, Nedbank Cup final match winner Relebohile Mofokeng wasted no time in impressing Hugo Broos.
The head coach called up 19-year-old Mofokeng to the senior national team camp for the first time.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Monday, Broos issued a positive review of the School of Excellence development product's attitude and personality.
"He is really a humble guy Rele," Broos said.
"I was very happy to see him yesterday; he has respect for every player.
"You see that this is a guy that knows that he's young, and has to show respect for all those guys who have already shown 10 times more than him. They were already seven or eight years in the first [elite] division [when he broke out]. He [pointing at Iqraam Rayners] scored 14 goals.
"He (Mofokeng) was fantastic. But he knows there's still a long way to go. I see it in his attitude and I'm very happy with that because you know [what happens] when you receive so much publicity like he is this season, and certainly with a winning goal on Saturday.
"He's a nice guy, and I'm very happy he's like that, so I hope he stays like he is now.
The quality is there, nobody has to discuss that, but being humble as he is now, with the publicity around him and all these talks about him going to Europe and everything like that, he is still the same Mofokeng of 10 months ago and I am really happy with that."

Mofokeng is among several new players on the team including Siyabonga Ngezana and Given Msimango.
Bafana's match against Nigeria is scheduled to kick off at 21:00 (SA time).
