Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman welcomes AFCON draw
Bafana Bafana midfielder Dean Furman has welcomed the Africa Cup of Nations draw where South Africa have been pitted with Morocco and Ivory Coast in Group D. Bafana qualified for the finals after beating Libya 2-1 in their last qualifier in Tunisia to book their ticket to Egypt in June this year. The other team pitted with Bafana in group D is Namibia. However, Morocco and Ivory Coast remain the toughest opponents for South Africa, who last won the competition in 1996. Furman, who is expected to be part of the squad due to his good performances at both club and national team level, says South Africa will go with full confidence to Egypt. "It's a good draw," said the SuperSport United midfielder. "We knew we will get two teams from Pot 1 and Pot 2 that are going to be difficult. But we're gonna go there with full of confidence and full of excitement. It's a positive draw and we are looking forward to it for sure."
