The attacking midfielder was called in as a replacement for Percy Tau who withdrew from the squad due to personal/family related reasons.
Nevertheless, Broos revealed earlier this week that Mdantsane was among a shortlist of potential candidates fill an ageing Themba Zwane's shoes in the near future.
Speaking to media ahead of Friday's match, Broos said he's been impressed with Mdantsane's progress.
"We know what we are looking for, otherwise he (Mdantsane) wouldn't be here," Broos assured.
"I think he is adapting very well at training. I'm very happy with what I see from him and I hope I can give him a chance maybe against Eswatini or maybe against Ivory Coast.
"Just some minutes to play and to show us if we did (made) the right choice or not.

"He is a creative player, you can compare him a little bit with Themba [Zwane], but Themba is much more experienced but I think he has the qualities to become a good replacement for Themba because Themba - I know I'm talking about his age a lot – but he's 34, so you won't be able to count on Themba maybe anymore for the [2026] World Cup. It's in two years.
"We have to look for someone, not immediately but we have to look for someone and I hope with Mdu that we have [found a replacement], finally."
South Africa's match against Eswatini is set to Kick-off is at 18:00.
