A Bafana Bafana defender should have been sent for an early shower during the 2-2 draw against Uganda in a 2025 AFCON qualifier, according to former FIFA referee Victor Hlungwani.
Hugo Broos' troops had to come from behind to rescue a point against Uganda at Orlando Stadium on Friday night.
Burnley FC star Lyle Foster had opened the scoring in the opening stages of the game, before two rapid goals from Denis Omedi and Rogers Mato put Uganda ahead in the space of three minutes.

Reviewing the match on SABC Sport's Monday night show Soccer Zone, Hlungwani explained that Bafana defender Khuliso Mudau should have received his marching orders for violent conduct In the second half.
"Violent conduct is when a player uses, or attempts to use, excessive force when not challenging for the ball.
"When we go to it [the footage], we see Mudau 'Sailor' against the ball there. Something happens and when he stands up, one; he uses negligible force. Two; he uses excessive force.
"So, the player should have been sent off for violent conduct, but he survived [received a yellow card].
"The first one for negligible force was a yellow, but the second push [was a red card]," said Hlungwani.
