Bafana squad announced for AFCON qualifiers

Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has named his preliminary squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.

Broos' men were in action earlier this month after claiming a draw against Uganda and a win over South Sudan in the opening two qualifiers.

The South Africans will now take on Congo-Brazzaville in a double in October, looking to maintain their unbeaten start.

Congo started their qualifying campaign with a win over South Sudan before they lost 2-0 to Uganda.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Ronwen Williams, Ricardo Goss, Veli Mothwa, Sipho Chaine

Defenders: Sydney Mobbie, Bradley Cross, Thapelo Morena, Rushwin Dortley, Nkosinathi Sibisi, Aubrey Modiba, Khuliso Mudau, Thabiso Sesane, Fawaaz Basadien, Siyabonga Ngezana, Grant Kekana.
