Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos says it means a lot to beat a team of Morocco's calibre.
Bafana and Morocco had already qualified but the Atlas Lions were leapfrogged by Broos' men at the top of Group K by one point, although the North African giants still have one match to go.
Broos says the feeling was always there that they are making good progress and a win against Morocco, who became the first African side to reach the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year, will boost their confidence even more.

"It means a lot, we said and we also felt that progression in the last six, seven months but you know you have to prove it on the pitch," Broos told SuperSport TV.
"When you have an opponent like today, for me one of the best teams for Africa for the moment and you can make a performance like today, it will give us a boost of confidence.
"There's a good basic (base) now for this team, we're still working, we can still improve but I'm very happy with the performance.
"We created many chances, we were good with the football, we combined good, we had a block when we lost the ball. I think overall it was a very good performance from everybody," he went on.
"There were no weaker players in the team, everybody does his job. Certainly the fact that against this team we created four or five very good chances, that means a lot I think."
The 71-year old, who won the 2016 Africa Cup of Nations with Cameroon, added that they can have a great Afcon if they continue with playing the current way.
"As you know when you have those matches like today, you get a boost of confidence and you have a style of play, I think five, six games we played almost the same," he added.
"But we improve every game and that means a lot, so if we can go on like this I think we'll certainly be ready to play a great Afcon."
