Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos has warned that players who lack motivation have no place in his squad ahead of an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Morocco.
Broos announced his final 23-man squad on Thursday after trimming down an initial 32-man preliminary squad named at the end of May.
Although both Morocco and South Africa have already qualified for the upcoming AFCON tournament to be played in January next year, both coaches selected full-strength squads for an encounter that will very likely be the last time they face one another before potentially meeting at the tournament.
Broos has warned that securing qualification should not lead to a less-intense effort from his players.
"I should not be pleased if I have to motivate the players to play against Morocco, then there is a big problem.
"If players are not motivated to play well against a team like Morocco then I think it's better that you go home. Better that you don't come with Bafana Bafana to play that game."

"This is where you become a professional player for these games. This is a big game, if you have a good performance, if the team has a good performance, if we get a positive result it's also good for you as a player.
"So you have to know that games will be seen by many people because it's an interesting game. It's interesting to see the guys of Morocco but also, 'hey let's see what the guys of South Africa can do also'. So it has to be enough motivation for a player to play against a team like that.
"I repeat again, If you can't motivate yourself with such a game, then you have to stop and do something else."
The match will be played at FNB Stadium and kick-off is at 17:00
