South Africa are set to play Libya in their final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier without the injured Khune in goal next month, needing just a draw in this Group E clash to book themselves a spot in Egypt.
Khune has not played a match in 2019 due to a shoulder problem and will be out for the rest of the season. In his absence, Amakhosi have signed former Chippa United goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, following the mistakes of the error-prone Virgil Vries.
"I think it [not having Khune] is a slight blow, but it’s not the end of the world because South Africa has always had great goalkeepers," Booth said.
"I think [with] Ronwen Williams, who has played a couple of friendlies before, and the likes of Darren Keet and Mbatha who has his hand up for perhaps a spot as the third keeper, we’ve got some good depth.
"From an experience point of view, I should imagine Ronwen would get the nod ahead of anyone else. I’m pretty confident in that regard. I don’t think we should have any worries when it comes to the goalkeepers."
