Former Bafana Bafana head coach Owen Da Gama feels Mothobi Mvala might get a nod ahead of Thabiso Sesane when coach Hugo Broos decides the final 23-man squad for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Both players have made it into the hard-to-please Bafana Bafana coach's preliminary squad.
South Africa will travel to Uganda to face The Cranes on November 15, before traveling back home to face South Sudan.

Bafana needs only a draw to qualify for next year's tournament.
"Well, it depends on the system that the coach would want to employ; it's two different kinds of players," Da Gama tells KickOff.
"I think Sesane has done exceptionally well at Pirates. Mothobi Mvala has come back from injury, and he's now beginning to play at Pirates.
"But I think Mothobi's strength will help us in Africa. He's got physical strength, and he is a soldier, you know," he added.

"Sesame might lack a little bit of experience at the international level, so he's a player for the future.
"Sesane, with a player with a little bit more experience next to him, I'm sure he can do a job for us.
"I think against South Sudan because they are not a threat Sesane can play.
"Uganda is a very, very strong team, and we will need as much experience as possible.
"Both players are good, it's just that Sesane will need a little bit of experience, and Mvala has a lot of it."
