The South African Football Association (SAFA) has provided an important update on Themba Zwane's injury situation, which forced the veteran midfielder out of Tuesday's AFCON qualifier.
Zwane was taken out after 40 minutes as Bafana Bafana drew with Congo in Brazzaville in their Group K qualifier.

Hugo Broos, the Bafana coach, highlighted that it was a big injury with early indications pointing to the fact that it was an Achilles issue.
Zwane's club Mamelodi Sundowns has been concerned about the 35-year-old, who is influential at the club.
SAFA have now confirmed that Zwane will undergo scans at Clinique Médicale SECUREX in Brazzaville on Wednesday afternoon to ascertain the extent of the injury before travelling back to Johannesburg later on Wednesday.
"Our Chief Medical Officer at SAFA, Dr Thulani Ngwenya, has been in constant communication with Themba's club Mamelodi Sundowns and has kept their medical team appraised every step of the way.
