Following Patrick Maswanganyi's withdrawal, there has been another change in the Bafana Bafana camp as head coach Hugo Broos has called up a Sekhukhune United player to replace a Mamelodi Sundowns star.
Broos has called up Vuyo Letlapa to replace experienced Aubrey Modiba, who has been allowed to withdraw from the squad to attend the birth of his child.

The 21-year-old left back has had a meteoric rise to PSL football having been plying his trade in the ABC Motsepe League as recently as July last year.
He moved to Sekhukhune ahead of the current season and has been one of the standout players for the ambitious side. Letlapa has established himself as first choice at left back, making 18 appearances thus far.

He joins up with the Bafana squad at the Polokwane camp as they prepare for the first of their two 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, against Lesotho at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Friday (18:00)
They will then fly to Ivory Coast to take on Benin on Tuesday.
