Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos had explained the absence of Khanysia Mayo rom his final 23-man Bafana Bafana squad for upcoming friendlies against Namibia and DR Congo.
As part of the preparation for next year's Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon), Bafana will play the first two of four friendlies in September.

A surprise absence in the squad is that of Mayo, who was the joint DStv Premiership top goal scorer last season with 12 goals to his name.

Broos believes the 25-year-old is yet to find his from this season.
"[Khanyisa] Mayo for the moment, I think there is a lack of confidence," Broos said.
"He is not the same Mayo of from last season who was scoring, who was dangerous. I saw him in a few games and yesterday (Tuesday against Orlando Pirates) I saw he came in but also the previous games, this is not the Mayo we want to see.
"I read something about his coach (Eric Tinkler) who said 'yes I have to give him some confidence because for the moment he doesin't have it.'
"The club coaches don't have to prepare the player for me, they don't have to do that because sometime they put me in a bad situation by not putting the players in the team. I like that they play."
"For example, [Innocent] Maela hasn't been playing at Pirates. I don't like that. i don't like that he is not playing. But I don't think that the coach is preparing him for Bafana, but for me it's very important that the players are playing."
Bafana host Namibia at Orlando Stadium on 9 September.
