The South African women were held 0-0 at home by Equatorial Guinea in Tembisa last weekend, so they face a dual challenge; keeping another clean sheet while scoring that vital away goal.
“I am confident in my team, we came here for a mission and we want to see it through,” Banyana Banyana head coach Vera Pauw says.
“We have done everything we can to prepare the team and if they can repeat at the match what they did at the final training session then we are on our way to victory. We are also happy off the field matters so let’s just go and do it.”
A victory or a score-draw in the imposing Estadio de Bata will send Banyana through to the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. If the match ends goalless, extra-time will be played, followed by a penalty shoot-out if the score is still 0-0.
Kick-off is at 17h00 South African time.
