Banyana Banyana currently have one point from two matches following their goalless draw and 1-0 loss against Zimbabwe and tournament host Cameroon respectively.
However, interim coach Desiree Ellis believes they still have a good chance of making it past the Pharaohs and qualifying for the CAF AWCON semi-finals in second position behind the Lionesses of Cameroon.
The hosts are clear on top of the log with six points having won all their two matches.
"We have worked hard with the video analysts and have studied the Egyptians thoroughly. We know their style of play, but the most important thing we must be concerned with is how we execute our own game plan," said Ellis.
The technical team has called upon players on numerous occasions the need to convert their chances and in Friday’s do or die encounter, Ellis has again underscored the same philosophy.
Banyana Banyana and Egypt lock horns at 16h00 local time (SA time 17h00) at Limbe Omnisports Stadium.
