Banyana beat Cameroon in a friendly

The second match will take place on Monday and coach Vera Pauw’s charges will look forward to wrap up a good work-out ahead of the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

In today’s encounter, Banyana went to the break leading 1-0 through a goal by defender Lebohang Ramalepe, before rounding off a good win with a second half goal by the industrious Mpumi Nyandeni.

The match marked a historic moment for captain Janine van Wyk, who was playing in her 124th match for Banyana and matched Portia Modise’s same number of games.
