The Dutch coach has submitted her evaluation report to SAFA after the country bowed out of the Olympic Games in the first round earlier this month.
She is now waiting for the report to be digested at SAFA House and says she will return to the country from her Netherlands home once this has been done to meet the media.
“I told players and management [SAFA]. I return home now contract and mission has finished,” Pauw tweeted on Sunday. “Management wants a press conference. When plans are clear I'll return for that!
“I would never 'sneak out the country' as suggested. Management has asked me to wait until evaluation of my report is made. I respect that.
“It was a tremendous journey and an amazing performance of Banyana Banyana. But I need my family, which is human, right? South Africa, thanks so much!”
