Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter feels Wydad Casablanca will be nervous on how to approach their CAF Champions League second leg semifinal clash after Mamelodi Sundowns got an important away goal in the first leg in Rabat last week.
Sundowns were beaten 2-1 by the Moroccan giants and that away goal, scored by right back Anele Ngcongca, could prove to be very important for the side. A 1-0 victory would be enough for Sundowns, but Pitso Mosimane's men are not the type to be happy with just one goal.
They are most likely to try get a convincing victory to progress to the final of Africa's biggest club competition for the second time in three years.
"I thought they did well in their game [in Rabat]. I think the goal gave them a huge advantage going into the second leg and I think Wydad will now be very nervous about how they should approach the game because they know if they sit and try park the bus for 90 minutes, Sundowns have got players that can unlock you. "I think they will find it hugely difficult. I expect Sundowns to go through. I do wish Pitso and his players all the best," Baxter said.
"Sundowns have become very adept to CAF competitions and their players are very experienced. Of course that spills over into the national team, but still playing for your national and taking a penalty with the nations eyes on your is still another thing and another form of pressure.
"But I think they've done a fantastic job. Pitso's got a great balance within his team and the knowledge they've got from playing on the continent is outstanding. They play different ways, with sort of a false nine with Maboe dropping and spinning out and playing behind. They've changed the way they've played slightly. They've been good at finding a solution."
