Sundowns have clinched the Premier Soccer League (PSL) for a record 11 times with Al Ahly the defending continental champions.
"Sundowns would finish in the top three for sure in Egypt," De Sa tells KickOff.
"There are also other big teams such as Pyramids, Zamalek, Al Ahly and then also the rest which is very similar to South African league."
"I saw Sundowns beat Al Ahly in Cairo, it was a bit of a hit and run but Ahly bounced back with a very good win in the league.
"So I think it will be a tight one, I think it's difficult to call this one, and I think probably a draw because it will keep Ahly in it and it will keep Sundowns on top.
"I think both teams have enough to score so probably it might be a 1-1 draw, I think both teams are playing well."
The former Bafana Bafana goalkeeper says right now Sundowns have reached Al Ahly's level.
"Sundowns have enough depth in their squad, they've got enough numbers, they've got enough experience now in Africa, De Sa added.
"So there should be no excuses now and they've got to be up for it.
"Currently Sundowns and Ahly are probably the top two sides in Africa."
