Rulani admits to 'difficult' task in scoring record-setting 24 goals

Mamelodi Sundowns will be aiming to score an incredible record-setting 24 goals against minnows La Passe in Friday's CAF Champions League clash at the Loftus Stadium.

Sundowns sealed a dominant 7-0 first-leg win at the same venue on Sunday to place one foot in the competition's group stages.

The Brazilians' previously recorded an incredible 24-0 win over lower division side, Powerlines in the Nedbank Cup in 2012 with captain Hlompho Kekana scoring seven goals.

Sundowns also hold the record for the biggest-ever victory in the history of the CAF Champions League, beating Seychelle's Cote d'Or 11-1  in 2019.

"Football is difficult especially in modern football to now score 24 goals will be very difficult," Mokwena said.

"It's possible, but very difficult, but we will try, we always try, but it would still be very difficult."
