Mamelodi Sundowns have been beset by more injuries during an extended trip in Egypt for two crucial CAF Champions League fixtures.
Sundowns were held to a goalless draw by Al-Merrkh in Cairo in their second Group A clash on Saturday.
Co-coach Rulani Mokwena confirmed the absence of striker Pavol Safranko alongside a number of other absentees before kick-off.

"We are a little bit unfortunate with regards to injuries but that's the name of the game," Mokwena said post-match.
"We didn't only lose Gaston [Sirino] but unfortunately we also lost Pavol Safranko to injury during our previous game.
"We then lost Gift Motupa just prior to playing against Baroka, so offensively we are without some very good players and some very important players, not just Gaston.
"The unfortunate situation with Gaston is it happened when he was training well and showing huge appetite and desire to assist the team.
"He was building his confidence and being integrated back into the team so the timing of the injury was a little bit unfortunate."
Mokwena then also confirmed an injury to new signing Erwin Saavedra during Saturday's clash.
Sundowns next face a potential Group A decider against Al Ahly on Saturday.
Kick-off is at 21:00 (SA time).
