The Moroccan Football Federation confirmed an appeal has been lodged on behalf of Wydad Casablanca after the controversial second-leg CAF Champions League final was abandoned - which saw Esperance retain their title.   After the first leg that was already marred by controversy, the return leg of the tie in Tunisia erupted into chaotic scenes that left many bemused.   READ: Wydad claim back-to-back UCL titles   The tie was level at 1-1 when the teams kicked off and the champions took the lead in the 41st minute through industrious playmaker Youcef Belaili.   However the second-half was brief and created a state of chaos in Rades before the continental showpiece was eventually abandoned.   Wydad's Walid El Karti headed home an equaliser in the 59th minute, levelling the aggregate score at 2-2 but referee Bakary Gassama wrongly adjudged his effort as off-side.
