The defending champions began their Group A campaign with a goalless draw against Sudanese outfit Al Hilal on Friday afternoon.
Mosimane did acknowledge that Al Hilal were a much better side than the one they faced in the 2019/2020 season.
"It is a satisfying result for us. We came here to win and we had a chance to secure the three points with Afsha's shot that hit the post," Mosimane said, as per the club's official website.
"Al Hilal are a better side compared to last year. They have a strong squad and they are good in attack and defense."
"It is a difficult group with four big teams and everyone has a chance to reach the next round."
The Red Devils will switch focus to the Egyptian Premier League on Tuesday before they take on Mamelodi Sundowns next Saturday.
