Usuthu host ES Setif at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Friday evening (18:00) in a must-win clash to maintain their Champions League quarterfinals hopes.
Setif have been reported to have financial troubles stretching back several years despite having remained competitive by reaching the semi-finals of the competition four years ago.
This week financial difficulties were threatening the Algerians' trip to South Africa before their domestic rivals CR Belouizdad stepped into their rescue.
"Out of patriotic duty, and out of solidarity between two Algerian football clubs which maintain fraternal relations, CR Belouizdad has decided to cover all the rental costs of a special plane which will be chartered by the Entente de Setif for Durban in South Africa," reads a statement on the CR Belouizdad website.
Though no figures are mentioned the cost of chartering a plane from Algeria to South Africa will stretch into millions.
Belouizdad – who are also in the Champions League – are top of the standings in Algeria and have been champions for the last two years.
There is still a prospect of Belouizdad meeting Setif in the quarterfinals if they don't finish in the same positions in their groups.
Setif had sought government assistance and indicated that they might not be able to travel to South Africa due to financial constraints.
The Algerians go into the match place third on two points with Usuthu second on three while Raja Casablanca are top with six.
Setif played Pirates in last season's CAF Champions League and have also previously met Mamelodi Sundowns in the CAF Champions League.
