Zungu reveals Bobby Motaung advice

Usuthu qualified for the group stages of the CAF Champions League following a Second round preliminary round victory over TP Mazembe.

"We received advice from Manqoba Mnqithi from Sundowns, and we also received got advice from Orlando Pirates.

"Pirates, Chiefs, Sundowns have competed on the continent a lot longer.

They are the giants on whose shoulders we now attempt to stand. I must immediately express my deep-felt gratitude to Orlando Pirates, Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs for helping us prepare for the conditions that we experienced at TP Mazembe, and how to prepare the team to succeed.

"You know when South African teams collaborate for the pride of the nation we are going to go far as a fraternity, and we will attempt to make South African people proud.

"South African soccer is on the rise. It is therefore not by chance that all four South African teams in both the Confederations Cup and Champions League have progressed to the next stage.

"We've got six games to play. Three at home and three away and we have to prepare for each game with seriousness. We've got 18 points to play for and we've got to give it our best shot.

"What I have said to my guys is to respect the opposition, they are not in the group stages by chance. They mean to succeed just like we do.

"They are champions in their own backyard. In my team, I value humility a lot. I want my guys even if they are victorious you know to be gracious in victory.

"We want to get out of the group stages that's for sure. But we know it's not going to be easy irrespective of which group we find ourselves in."

AmaZulu next face Sekhukhune United in a DStv Premiership clash at Ellis Park Stadium on Wednesday.

Kick-off is at 17:30.
