The Buccaneers swept the Guinean side away 4-1 in the second leg at Bidvest Stadium to add to the 2-0 away victory they had already achieved as Pirates turned on the style again.
Tinkler was delighted with the performance of his players over two legs considering the timing of the game, three weeks after the first leg and right at the start of the PSL's off-season.
"It was a professional application from everybody. It hasn't been easy because we've had three weeks inbetween the two legs, the League has finished and all the other teams are on holiday and to keep the boys motivated hasn't been an easy task," Tinkler admitted.
"But credit to all of them, they've been very professional in terms of their application and their attitude in training. These guys deserve to get a bit of a break now so they're gonna be off for a week then we'll have have just over two weeks in preparation for the first group stage match.
"Thats what we aimed to do, was to get to the group, now we're gonna possibly play AC Leopards, looks like that will be our first away trip and try and reap some revenge against them after losing to them in the Champions League there [in 2013].
"This was the objective. To get to the group phase you play Zamalek, you play AC Leopards, you probably play CS Sfaxien – Champions League teams – and that's where you want to be."
